Mahershala Ali won Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal of classical and jazz pianist Dr. Don Shirley in the award-winning Green Book. This marks Ali's second win in just three years. In 2017, Ali won for his role in Moonlight directed by Barry Jenkins. (Denzel Washington won his two Oscars for Best Supporting Actor and Best Actor.)
